Porto Alegne, Rio, Brazil

Based in "Happy Port", this family business began in 2007 and now makes a concious effort to support the local community and small businesses within their area.

Their scope of work covers the extraction, refinement, and sale of semi-precious stones. All stages are regulated and in conformity with labor and environmental legislation. They make sure it’s all fair, respective, and friendly to the environment.

"Annually, we take part in the Conflict Mineral Survey, from The Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), one of the most utilized and respected resources for companies from a range of industries addressing responsible mineral sourcing issues in their supply chain."

Kwazulu Natal, South Africa

This family and friend business started in 1991 for the love of nature and the addictive pursuit of its hidden treasures and obvious beauty.

"Firstly, we are Conservationists and Naturalists, and secondly, we are Rock Dealers with a huge variety of stones that you will not easily find elsewhere."

Based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, they also have satellite stations in Antananarivo, Madagascar and at Kombat in Namibia. They have all sorts of permanent and loose arrangements with hundreds of small Artisanal miners, Lapidary setups and Mines all over Africa and Madagascar.

The Himalayas, India

This supplier hosts an impressive four generations of miners- with seventy five years of experience.

At 17,000 feet above sea level, they hand source crystals and carry them in knapsacks over a trek that takes seven full days in the freezing cold.

They are very immersed in the sacred, healing practices and energies associated with crystals and infuse them with Reiki energy right from the source.

El Paso, Texas, USA

A primarily women and minority owned business based in Texas, they source their products from around the globe and procure top quality crystals.

This family is so kind and their four generations run the live sales and website, though I usually speak with a lady named Miriam.

Rio, Brazil

With 34 years of experience, this supplier is one of the brazilian companies with the highest tradition on the export and import market of crystals and minerals, supplying goods to more than 1000 customers all over the world.

They cherish the happiness of their customers.

Within Brazil, there are very stringent laws surrounding mining practices which require suppliers to earn certifications regularly. Such natural resources are considered a state asset in Brazil, so any company, has to prove that their extraction will be of benefit to the local people and not damage their environment in order to engage in the mining process.

This includes not using child labour under any circumstances - and in fact, a 2003 Brazilian law to ensure children of low-income families are able to attend school made child labour virtually extinct in this industry in the Jequitinhonha Valley.
